Job Description

The Planner – Construction role with Parsons Corporation is a Saudi Arabia-based construction opportunity focused on supporting safe, organized and measurable delivery of planning, scheduling and progress monitoring for regional projects. The position is based in Tabuk and will normally report to a project manager, construction manager, commercial manager, planning manager, HSE manager, QA/QC manager or discipline lead depending on the function. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, client representatives, document control, procurement and project controls teams to keep construction activities properly coordinated and recorded. Daily work includes checking site progress, following work-front readiness, reviewing project requirements, preparing reports, coordinating inspections, resolving interface issues and maintaining compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements and safety procedures. The role requires practical construction experience, strong communication, discipline with documentation and the ability to work under pressure on active Saudi projects. Candidates should be comfortable dealing with urgent priorities, technical queries, site constraints, consultant comments and management reporting. The objective is to help the project team deliver construction work on time, to the required quality and with proper control over safety, cost, progress and project records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate construction activities in line with approved drawings, specifications and project programme
  • Monitor daily site progress, manpower, materials, access and work-front readiness
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project departments
  • Prepare progress reports, inspection updates, meeting actions and technical records
  • Identify construction risks, delays, clashes and interface issues for timely resolution
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with quality, safety and environmental procedures
  • Support method statement compliance, inspection requests and handover documentation
  • Attend coordination meetings and follow up agreed actions
  • Review technical information and escalate issues requiring engineering or management decision
  • Maintain professional communication with client and project stakeholders
  • Update schedules, progress curves and look-ahead programmes
  • Monitor critical path, recovery plans, delays and project controls reporting

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant degree, diploma or professional qualification in construction, civil engineering or related discipline
  • Saudi Arabia or GCC construction project experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, method statements and site procedures
  • Ability to coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants and subcontractors
  • Good English communication and reporting skills
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality and documentation requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-track project environments
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of project reporting tools
  • Professional attitude with strong follow-up and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of Saudi project delivery requirements is an advantage
  • Primavera P6 or project controls software experience preferred
  • Ability to review critical path, progress measurement and recovery plans
