Job Description
The Credit Controller role with Al Tayer Group is a UAE-based finance and accounting opportunity focused on supporting accurate financial control, reporting and business decision-making within Credit control, receivables and customer account management. The position is based in Dubai and will normally report to a finance manager, chief accountant, financial controller, audit manager or department head depending on the employer structure. The successful candidate will work closely with finance colleagues, operations teams, procurement, HR, commercial departments, auditors, banks, customers and suppliers to ensure financial information is accurate, timely and properly supported. Daily responsibilities may include reconciliations, journal entries, invoice review, receivables, payables, analysis, budget support, audit schedules, tax documentation and management reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, deadline discipline and a practical understanding of accounting controls. Candidates should be comfortable using ERP systems, spreadsheets and financial records while maintaining professional communication with stakeholders. The main objective is to protect financial accuracy, support business performance and help Al Tayer Group maintain strong compliance and reporting standards in the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review or support financial reports in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate accounting records, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control or variance analysis where required
- Process or review invoices, payments, receipts, accruals and journal entries
- Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, suppliers, customers and banks
- Ensure compliance with finance policies, approval workflows and internal controls
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and analysis for decision support
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve finance-related queries
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- Relevant UAE or GCC finance and accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles and financial controls
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Good communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines during closing and reporting cycles
- High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Professional ethics and confidentiality
- Good English communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA is an advantage
