Role Purpose
Estimate municipal water, wastewater and bridge construction packages. EMPLOYER AND LOCATION Chandos Construction; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
In addition, chandos is an employee-owned Canadian construction company.
Main Activities
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop concept-to-tender estimates and take-offs; Lead collaborative cost workshops; Set rates, escalation and contingency; Evaluate supplier bids and value engineering; Advise constructability and compare actual costs. REQUIREMENTS Related engineering, architecture or construction degree/diploma; Five years estimating and four years construction-management experience; Local subcontract-market knowledge; Advanced Excel and estimating software; Drawing interpretation, cost modelling and clear presentation skills.
