Role Purpose
ROLE AECOM is recruiting a Senior Engineer – Highways in Doha, Qatar. RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Highways to join our organization in Doha, Qatar.
In addition, the ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in highway engineering, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Main Activities
You will play a critical role in ensuring projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness. REQUIREMENTS Valid MME (professional engineering) registration and active license in good standing Qatar experience required Fluent in Arabic/English Minimum 12 years of professional experience in highway engineering and infrastructure development Proven experience leading senior-level highway projects from design through construction completion Strong expertise in highway design principles, pavement engineering, and traffic engineering Proficiency with industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM platforms Comprehensive knowledge of construction management, project scheduling, and cost estimation Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions Excellent project management skills with proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience mentoring junior engineers Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Familiarity with Middle East construction standards, local regulations, and regional infrastructure requirements Preferred experience with traffic modeling software and sustainable highway design practices Preferred knowledge of safety management systems and environmental compliance in construction projects EMPLOYMENT Full-time.
