Role Purpose
ROLE Egis Group is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Ports and Marine) in Kuwait City, Kuwait. RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team in Kuwait.
In addition, in this senior-level position, you will oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment critical to port operations.
Main Activities
You will lead a team of engineers and technicians while ensuring all systems operate at peak efficiency and comply with international safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence and implement innovative solutions in a dynamic maritime environment.
In addition, rEQUIREMENTS Minimum 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering with at least 8 years in port, maritime, or heavy industrial operations Proven expertise in designing and maintaining mechanical systems, including cargo handling equipment, conveyor systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic machinery Advanced proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA) and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS or equivalent) Strong knowledge of international safety standards and regulations (IMCA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance management, predictive maintenance, and reliability engineering Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and mentoring junior engineers Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools Knowledge of automation systems and control technologies in port operations Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred Familiarity with budget management and cost optimization in equipment operations Professional certification in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred EMPLOYMENT Full-time.
