Job Description
Role Purpose
ROLE Devoteam is recruiting a Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. RESPONSIBILITIES The AWS Cloud Solutions Architect is a senior technical lead who supervises AWS migration and transformation projects and makes sure the work the delivery teams produce is right, sets technical direction, reviews and signs off designs and deliverables, and steps in when teams meet technical problems they cannot resolve on their own.
In addition, you will work with delivery engineers, project managers, client stakeholders, AWS and third-party vendors, and hold the work to AWS best practice and the client's security and quality requirements. REQUIREMENTS Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Moreover, 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure or IT consulting, with at least 4 years on AWS. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
Therefore, experience overseeing or leading the technical delivery of enterprise migrations to AWS.
Main Activities
Proven experience reviewing and approving solution designs and technical deliverables. Broad knowledge of AWS services across compute, storage, databases, networking, identity and security, enough to judge the quality of a design.
In addition, good understanding of migration methods and tooling and of landing zone concepts Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices, enough to review how delivery teams apply them. Experience managing technical risks and working with vendors and client stakeholders.
Moreover, strong written and spoken English, and the ability to write clear, actionable review feedback. Arabic language skills.
Therefore, preferred: AWS Specialty certifications (Security, Advanced Networking) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional. Knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks (NCA ECC/CCC, SAMA CSF, PDPL) Experience reviewing disaster recovery and business continuity designs.
Delivery and Collaboration
Familiarity with core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS) and enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP on AWS). Multi-cloud exposure (Google Cloud, Azure).
