Role Purpose
ROLE SEHA is recruiting a Consultant Ophthalmology in Abu Dhabi. RESPONSIBILITIES Assess patients through history-taking and clinical examination; Establish and review clinical diagnoses; Plan, deliver and review treatment within clinical privileges; Prescribe and monitor authorized medication or therapy; Order or evaluate relevant diagnostic investigations; Explain procedures and obtain informed consent; Maintain accurate clinical records; Support clinical supervision, teaching and staff development; Contribute to clinical quality review and improvement; Manage clinical risks and patient-safety standards.
Main Activities
REQUIREMENTS Recognized MBBS/equivalent, structured specialty residency/fellowship and at least 2–3 post-specialization clinical years according to DOH tier and facility requirements; valid licence from current/last practice and good-standing certificate; successful DOH licensing assessment. A DOH licence/eligibility letter is highly preferred.
In addition, english and Arabic fluency, communication, problem-solving and continuing education are required.
