Job Description
Role Purpose
ROLE SEHA is recruiting a Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in Abu Dhabi. RESPONSIBILITIES Assess patients through history-taking and clinical examination; Establish and review clinical diagnoses; Plan, deliver and review treatment within clinical privileges; Prescribe and monitor authorized medication or therapy; Order or evaluate relevant diagnostic investigations; Conduct ward rounds and reassess patients; Explain procedures and obtain informed consent; Maintain accurate clinical records; Coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care; Support clinical supervision, teaching and staff development; Contribute to clinical quality review and improvement; Manage clinical risks and patient-safety standards.
In addition, rEQUIREMENTS Recognized MBBS/equivalent, structured specialty training and DOH-approved Tier 1/Tier 2 board/fellowship qualification; a relevant MD, MS or DNB is generally required.
Main Activities
The employer specifies 3–7 post-specialty clinical years according to qualification/tier in a multidisciplinary setting. Gaps over two years need DOH approval or return-to-practice training.
In addition, dOH licence/eligibility, DataFlow primary-source verification, licensing examination unless exempt, and good-standing certificate are required; communication, leadership, problem-solving and continuing education are expected.
