AECOM is recruiting a Inspector – Wet Utilities in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The active official vacancy, reference J10159899, supports construction, infrastructure, engineering or site-delivery work within Quality Assurance.

Role purpose: We are looking for an experienced Civil Inspector – Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi.

Delivery scope: The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works .; Inspect and monitor wet utility construction works, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated networks .; Conduct daily site inspections to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements.; Inspect the installation of stormwater pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, drainage structures, and associated works .; Inspect sewerage, potable water, and irrigation pipelines and related structures as required.; Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the Contractor and ensure works are ready for inspection.; Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, installation, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and protection of wet utility networks.; Witness and inspect testing activities, including pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV inspection, and other applicable tests.; Verify line, level, alignment, slopes, and invert levels of pipelines and drainage structures.; Ensure construction works comply with approved shop drawings and project specifications.

Candidate profile: We are looking for an experienced Civil Inspector – Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi.; The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works .; Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.; Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works .; Good knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks .; Experience in inspecting pipelines, manholes, drainage structures, and associated infrastructure works.; Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.; UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred.; Strong attention to detail and good communication and coordination skills.;

Workplace and engagement: Full Time, onsite, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Salary, closing date and visa sponsorship are not disclosed by the employer.
