Job Description
Role Purpose
ROLE SEHA is recruiting a Geriatric/ Old Age Psychiatry Consultant in United Arab Emirates. RESPONSIBILITIES Assess patients through history-taking and clinical examination; Establish and review clinical diagnoses; Plan, deliver and review treatment within clinical privileges; Maintain accurate clinical records; Coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care; Support clinical supervision, teaching and staff development; Contribute to clinical quality review and improvement; Manage clinical risks and patient-safety standards.
Main Activities
REQUIREMENTS Accredited medical degree, psychiatry residency and recognized psychiatry fellowship/board qualification; at least seven post-specialization consultant psychiatry years; experience treating complex psychiatric illness in older people; DOH consultant eligibility. Geriatric psychiatry training, dementia/neuropsychiatry experience and multidisciplinary hospital practice are preferred; leadership/service development is advantageous.
