Job Description
Role Purpose
ROLE Parsons is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Taif, Saudi Arabia. RESPONSIBILITIES Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management – Providing end-to-end commercial oversight for both consultancy and contractors, from contract award through to final account.
In addition, covering but not limited to: Payment certification, Claims management, Variation control, Cost monitoring, Identifying cost-efficiency opportunities, Producing clear commercial progress reports. Identify potential claims, check for compliance with applicable contractual terms and ensure effective negotiation and settlement of claims, coordinating with other departments where necessary to achieve this.
Moreover, rEQUIREMENTS What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying from an accredited university/ institution is required. Minimum of 12 years of experience in commercial management across multiple construction sectors.
Therefore, extensive knowledge of cost & commercial management principles, procurement processes, and contract and change management principles.
Main Activities
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio) and Aconex.
In addition, strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities. Strong communications skills in English is required.
Moreover, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Therefore, what Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Professional certification (MRICS) is an advantage.
Delivery and Collaboration
Experience in PMCM projects is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
